About us

At Tweba Senoi Therapy, I am committed to providing quality services to every person who seeks healing and recovery. I uphold the ethics that guide the profession of therapists and I follow through until the end of our interactions.

I am trained and certified in the techniques used in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which includes four modules: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Working together will be a process of equipping you with the different tools from these modules, so that your life may start to resemble one that is joyful and fulfilling. I also use techniques from other approaches to enhance the therapeutic process and give you the best chance of growth and healing.

In addition, I am a professional registered with the Kenya Association of Professional Counsellors (KAPC).

Values

Confidentiality

I uphold the utmost confidentiality when collecting and storing information shared by clients. Everything that is disclosed is kept in a safe and secure way.

Empathy

Being able to be with the client wherever they are psychologically and emotionally is very important because it helps the client feel less alone and feel the support that is offered throughout the sessions.

Unconditional positive regard

I believe fully in the ability of the client to build a life they love and their inherent goodness, which is also shown throughout out sessions together.

Cultural awareness

It is important to acknowledge the fact that each person comes from a culture that influences how they feel, think, believe and behave. I make sure that I remain respectful of the cultural beliefs that each client holds.

Genuineness

I believe in being genuine about the process of therapy because more than anything, therapy is about cultivating a safe and authentic relationship between humans, that allows for the client to fully step into their authentic self.
